Spend two days immersed in the biodiversity of Madagascar on a wildlife tour through several national parks and reserves in Andasibe. Join a small group to visit the Peyrieras Reserve with its abundance of reptiles and chameleons, the Vakona private reserve, and Mantadia National Park to observe local wildlife in its natural habitat.
Pick up with your guide and driver for the start of your tour and head towards National Road N°2. The first visit will be the Peyrieras Reserve with its remarkable flora and fauna of Madagascar. After lunch in Moramanga, continue on the road to reach Andasibe and its national parks. Once there, the second visit begins at the Vakona private reserve with its diverse reptile species, crocodile lake, and especially the lemur islet. Check into the hotel after the visits.
The morning is dedicated to visiting Mantadia National Park, or the Indri-indri paradise. In a dense and humid forest, you will discover a scenic landscape thanks to a variety of endemic plants with different ecotourism attractions and unmatched biodiversity. A few hours of trekking in the forest to see the largest lemur, babakoto or Indri-indri, as well as other endemic flora and fauna species. After lunch in Andasibe, return to Tana in the afternoon.

The park is home to several lemur species such as the indri, the golden bamboo lemur and the diademed sifaka, as well as numerous species of chameleons, geckos, colourful frogs and more than 100 species of birds. Night walks allow you to observe microcebus lemurs and mouse lemurs.
A long weekend (two or three days) is enough to see the essentials, but nature enthusiasts can extend the visit to four or five days to explore Mantadia and the community reserves.
The dry season (May to October) is ideal for hiking, but the green season (November to April) offers a festival of colours and orchids in bloom. Be aware that rain can make trails muddy; non‑slip hiking shoes are recommended.
