- Details of the itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Antananarivo
Meet at the airport by your driver / guide.
Private transfer to your hotel. Check-in and free time to rest after the flight.
Depending on the arrival time, it is possible to take a short walk around the hotel or enjoy a first glimpse of the Malagasy capital.

Day 2 – Antananarivo – Miandrivazo
Early departure from Antananarivo towards the west of Madagascar. The road first crosses the central highlands, offering magnificent rolling landscapes, terraced rice fields and traditional villages with red brick houses.
Then continue to Miandrivazo, gateway to the Tsiribihina River. The landscape gradually evolves into more arid plateaus, heralding the western regions.
Arrival in Miandrivazo in the late afternoon, check-in at the hotel.

Day 3 – Miandrivazo – Start of the descent on the Tsiribihina
Morning transfer to the Masiakampy embarkation point then start of the descent along the Tsiribihina River aboard a barge with a professional guide and crew, overnight camping on the riverbank, lively evening and meals specially prepared by the guide. Visit of the waterfall and swimming, visit of the village of Begidro and meeting the villagers, possibility of seeing Nile crocodiles and bats.

Day 4 – Descent of the Tsiribihina
After breakfast at the bivouac, continue the
descent by motor boat through magnificent landscapes: cliffs, baobab forests and wild beaches.
As you travel along the water, you will observe the life of riverside villages, fishermen and local wildlife.
Stop along the way for a picnic lunch on a shaded beach by the river, before resuming navigation in the afternoon.
Arrival at the end of the day at a new camping site in the heart of nature, set up camp and enjoy a relaxing moment at sunset.

Day 5 – End of the descent – Transfer to Bekopaka
Breakfast at the bivouac before the last stage of the descent.
Morning navigation through a peaceful and green landscape where the river winds between cliffs and sandbanks.
Arrival late morning at the disembarkation point of Belo sur Tsiribihina.
Check-in at the hotel at the end of the day.

Day 6 – Bekopaka
Early departure to reach the Grand Tsingy site, located about 17 km from Bekopaka (about 1 hour on track). The visit begins with a
spectacular hike through this limestone massif with impressive formations, veritable cathedrals of stone. Suspended footbridges, ladders and bridges offer breathtaking views of karst spires rising more than 60 metres. This exploration lasting about 3 to 4 hours allows you to discover a unique landscape listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, along with endemic fauna and flora.
In the afternoon, set off to visit the Petit Tsingy, located a few minutes from the village. This more accessible route allows you to discover more modest yet equally fascinating rock formations, amidst labyrinths, small canyons and viewpoints over the Manambolo River. You can observe lemurs,
birds and local plants there. The walk lasts about 2 to 3 hours.
Return to the hotel at the end of the day.

Day 7 - Bekopaka – Morondava
Early departure from Bekopaka to reach Morondava by 4×4, crossing the savanna and typical western Malagasy villages, with ferry crossings on the Manambolo and Tsiribihina rivers. Arrival in Morondava in the afternoon, then continuation to the famous Baobab Alley. Stroll through these majestic emblematic trees and enjoy an unforgettable sunset at the site.
Return to Morondava in the evening.

Day 8 - Morondava – Antananarivo
Departure for Morondava airport according to the flight schedule.
Flight to Antananarivo.

Day 9 - Departure from Madagascar
Depending on your flight schedule, there is the possibility to take a city tour of Antananarivo and visit the craft market to buy some souvenirs.
